Tony Offredi has extensive experience in general management and business operations. His particular strengths are in
programme, contract and quality management systems.
After graduating, Tony joined Jon Bannenberg Limited, a leading yacht design practice renowned for its advanced
designs and use of new materials. He subsequently left with a colleague to set up an aerospace design and manufacturing
company Airship Industries, which specialised in Lighter-than-Air applications. Working both in the civil and defence aviation
sectors, this soon became a recognised world leader in its niche position.
When this company was eventually sold he went on to hold management positions for major organisations on both sides
of the Atlantic. These included Westinghouse Defence Systems Inc, working in the US aerospace industry. Here he managed
contracts in the UK, Europe and USA for design and production programmes.
Since then he has run his own consultancy, providing training in commercial practice for managers. This included an
intensive programme for companies in the railway industry at the time of rail privatisation.
More recently he has worked extensively in general consultancy in the SME sector, primarily with design and manufacturing
companies.
